The new version of Appy Bonsai introduces group management, a feature designed to make collections easier to organize and, above all, simplify the tracking of work carried out on several bonsai at the same time.

This feature allows users to freely group different items in their collection to organize them more effectively and perform certain operations in a single step.

Organize your collection according to your own criteria

Every collector organizes their trees differently. Some classify them by species, while others use location, stage of development, exposure, or the work that needs to be carried out.

Appy Bonsai's group management feature was therefore designed to remain completely flexible. Users can create their own groups and add items according to their personal organization system.

The feature is not limited to trees. Pots, rocks, tools, display stands, accessories, and shitakusa registered in the app can also be organized into groups.

The same item can belong to several groups, allowing different organizational criteria to be combined without modifying its original record.

One event for an entire group

However, the main benefit of this feature goes beyond simple classification.

Appy Bonsai has long allowed users to record the work and events associated with each tree: pruning, repotting, fertilizing, treatment, watering, specific interventions, and other events related to its cultivation.

With groups, it is now possible to create a single event directly for multiple items.

When an event is associated with a group, Appy Bonsai automatically applies it to every item in that group.

For example, a collector who has just fertilized twenty trees located in the same area no longer needs to record the same operation twenty times. They simply select the relevant group and create the event once.

The same principle can be used for plant protection treatments, watering, work carried out on a series of trees, or any other collective event.

A particularly useful feature for large collections

The larger a collection becomes, the more time-consuming it can be to keep track of it. Group management directly addresses this issue by reducing the number of actions required to maintain an accurate history.

It can also be used to prepare upcoming work. For example, users can create a group of trees that need repotting, trees intended for an exhibition, or trees requiring a specific treatment.

Groups therefore become both an organizational tool and a practical tool for the day-to-day management of a collection.
