You know Appy Bonsai on your smartphone. But do you know everything that is happening on the other side of the app?

For some time now, Appy Bonsai has also been expanding on the web. Easily accessible with your user account, my.appybonsai.com extends the app experience and is gradually opening the door to new tools, new services and new ways to enjoy your passion for bonsai.

The idea is not to reproduce the app inside a browser. The web space naturally allows you to access and browse your collections from a computer or tablet, but above all, it offers possibilities of its own.

For example, you can export your records as PDF files, print them or generate their QR codes to share them or physically associate them with your trees. And as you browse your bonsai records, you will also discover more discreet features. For each species, a worldwide interactive map allows you to explore the regions of the world where it grows and the areas to which it is adapted.

But Appy Bonsai no longer wants to simply help you manage your own collection.

From Your Collection to Collections Around the World

Users who wish to do so can make some of their records public. From the web space, anyone can then search for and discover bonsai shared by other enthusiasts, browse their records and find inspiration in their trees.

This openness also makes it possible to imagine experiences that would not really have a place in an app primarily dedicated to the day-to-day management of a collection.

This is how the Challenge Juniperus was born, organized together with the YouTube channel Vital Bonsai. A specially designed space allows participants to take part in the challenge and follow the trees and work of other enthusiasts.

And for those who would rather compete on knowledge than on trees, Appy Bonsai now offers its Bonsai Quiz.

Cultivation, techniques, aesthetics, botany or general knowledge: three difficulty levels allow you to test yourself and earn a score. But the real challenge comes next: a worldwide leaderboard lets you compare your results with other enthusiasts.

As the quiz is available in 31 languages, the competition naturally crosses borders. A French beginner can therefore find themselves in the same ranking as a Japanese, Italian, American or Brazilian bonsai enthusiast.

What You See Today Is Only the Beginning

This is probably the most important point. my.appybonsai.com is evolving very quickly.

We gradually want to make it much more than an extension of the app. New free tools and services are currently being developed, and some of them will even go beyond the needs of individual Appy Bonsai users.

Bonsai clubs, professionals, associations and event organizers will also have their place in this ecosystem, with services specifically designed around their needs.

The app will remain at the heart of Appy Bonsai to support the day-to-day management of your collection. The web, meanwhile, allows us to explore new possibilities: sharing, discovering, learning, participating, organizing and connecting bonsai enthusiasts even more closely with one another.

Appy Bonsai is becoming much more than a bonsai collection management app.

And if you have never opened your web space before, now is probably the right time to discover everything that is already available there.
